Dear Holiday Inn,
I strongly urge you to review your construction oversight operations and construction contract language as they relate to safety, OSHA, and liability. Holiday Inn needs to clean up its act!
• The photo on the left shows that neither the scaffolding nor the materials are made inaccessible to staff, adult patrons or more importantly children. I cannot imagine that you would condone children using the scaffolding as a jungle gym and getting injured.
• The photo on the right is one of the main fire exits with debris shoved into the corner etc. There are items that should not be accessible by young children…. While the drywall is not flammable, the large roll of pvc plastic is not only flammable but also a source of a bucket load of undesirables/harmful fumes and accelerants which must never be stored in an fire exit way.
I do not assume that your survey asked whether we considered this Holiday Inn to be safe, clean or well managed. If it did, you folks would have failed on all counts.
Going forward, I will think twice before reserving a room at another Holiday Inn if this is the way you run business. You should not be charging market rate in these situations – this was a total waste of money!
