Malaysia Airlines is originally founded in 1947 under the name of Malayan Airways. It has changed name since then from Malaysia Airline System (MAS) to official name of Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) now. it is operated both on domestic and international flight service. This airline is wholly owned by Malaysian Government with financial support frm Khazanah Nasional. It owns several subsidiaries under including MASwings, Firefly, and the newest holding company addition Malaysia Aviation Group.

However, it has been maintaining the core business from restructuring, as passenger airlines. It also has been through several rebranding process since 1990 such as “Going Beyond Expectation” to market itself in international field. The brand changed to “More than just an airline code. MH is Malaysian Hospitality” in 2008, “Journeys are made by people you travel with” in 2013, and settled with “Malaysian Hospitality Begins With Us” in 2018.
